Fell over while on company business abroad, in uniform, conditions where not normal and slipped, Its was my fault, I was more embarrassed falling in front of my work mates. Got on with job, in pain but thought just bruised. After a week went to docs to spinal surgeon to mri to herniated disc and surgery. Due surgery January , on full pay only till December, half pay from January onwards till I return to work I guess. After operation doc says should be back to work in two months so that would be March. Is this normal to have pay cut by 50% after six months..?, can I claim anything else..?
I dont thinks so, most states give 2/3 of your average weekly wage while off. Every state varies. Talk to an attorney. They will consult with you for free. I am anti-litigation, but do not let your company run you off. If you return and things do not seem right. Again talk with an attorney. They all work on a contingency fee. Do not let anyone charge you by the hour. If possible, you are always better off getting back to work. Do not let any attorney steer you otherwise. There is just no real money in comp cases in the end. (ie) dont sit and wait for an insurance settlement while you lose your car and house. Good luck.

im getting discharged from workmans comp im 27 had a lower back injury and had discotomy surgury in august. ive been out of work for 2 years and theve decided to put me on permanent disability, my question is what will happen now what can i do as of work now if im on permanent disabilty with restrictions. what can i do as far as income?
